![]() Bamboo, and foam core are a bit smoother and a bit faster, but not by much. To me, carbon/wood and wood core shoot and feel the same across the board. I have maple core, carbon/wood, bamboo, and the foam core. Now I am a fan of bamboo limbs, and I have some now. They are smoother than wood core or bamboo. Not quite mushy, but very soft and smooth. Foam core limbs are very soft feeling during the draw process. I had a couple of sets, and another set in transit now. ![]() Yes sir, Sebastian Flute has recurve limbs that are foam core. Don't even know if folks put foam in recurves. I don't know if I would pay extra for it, but I certainly wouldn't reject it in any longbow I was considering. Probably caused by the carbon and not the foam. Paired with carbon, it seems to make a higher pitch at the shot, not as much when paired with glass. I can't really tell a difference between it and bamboo core limbs. ![]() Don't really know if it's smoother drawing or faster, but it is plenty smooth and fast IMO. Dampens more quickly at the end of the shot, i.e., a little less limb vibration transferred to the bow hand. I will never own a foam core bow, foam degrades.įoam is supposed to be less sensitive to extreme temperature changes. I do realize this question had some degree of subjectivity to it. ![]() Just wanting to see if my observation ate way out of lounge with others. Not interested in speed with this inquiry. What, if any, differences do you feel in the "feedback" of the limb with foam compared to wood (or vice versa) do you get.īy that, I mean do you find one softer, more snappy.,etc. The owner of this topic has requested a DEBATE FREE discussion ![]()
